Draco is about 10 months old. Until about a few months ago he was eating mealworms (vita-worms) and crickets. Then I read that mealworms were not good for him, but that was all he wanted to eat. He started refusing to eat any crickets eventually, and would go days without eating. I read about the dubia roaches so I ordered a colony and it is thriving; however, he won't eat the roaches either, unless he is absolutely starving.....and then i have to feed him one at a time on my bed. I have a set up with a low clear plastic container that he is able to climb into and out of, so I would put 10 small to medium roaches in there and he would just sit there and let them crawl all over him and then jump out. So I would put one roach at a time, same thing would happen. This is been going on for about a month and it is driving me crazy!! I have all these roaches and he won't eat them. I was thinking he might be wanting to do the hibernation thing, so I would offer the roaches but not really spend an hour trying to get him to eat them for a few days, but soon as i offer him the mealworms he gobbles them up in a matter of seconds. He has to eat these ROACHES, Geez ..... I spent money and a lot of time raising these Roaches. Anyone else have this problem? I am desperate for solutions. I feed my roaches a combination of ground up dog food, oatmeal and cricket (calcium) feed. They also get slices of oranges every other day or so. I was putting reptical calcium on them and thought maybe he didn't like it, so i tried feeding them to him without the calcium sprinkling, but still no go.

Several different morphs of Leopard Geckos are available. Most are Tangerine or Carrot Tails, but with great coloration. Very few males are available. Sex not guaranteed at this age.
All babies are currently feeding on small 1/2 inch crickets and the occasional dubia nymph. They're well started and growing wonderfully, ready for their new homes. Babies are $30.00/ea. plus shipping. Pick one, and pick a second for Free! |

I haven't grouted the Great Stuff foam nor the columns nor the stairs, I was thinking of leaving the steps white (white grout) to give it some contrast. Any opinions on this?
BTW, all materials are what we have had around the house...extra grout, extra tile pieces, foam board (or picked up off the street meaning the tv...lol) except for the vents that cost about a buck each and the plexiglass which I found cheaper at a plexiglass store vs. lowes or home depot. I also bought a water based grout sealer to seal the grout and am thinking of buying a wood sealer to seal the wood before I glue on the side boards. Any suggestions welcome. |

It measures about 18 inches on the bottom, but then it has that dome back that gives it more space. The width is 40 inches, so almost a 40 gallon but tall. We were going to do a trap door to the bottom portion and let him go down for feeding time, but we decided not to.
Yes, we plan on putting him in here and making it his permanent home. It's already on wheels so it makes it easy to move. We may be making one similar for our snake. We picked up another free one but I think it's moldy because it smells bad. But there is another free 60" projection tv on craigslist today. Wow, lot's of people giving these things away. They are sooo cool! I picked up the plexiglass for the front doors today....they will slide on rails on top and bottom. I picked up 3/16th inch clear plexiglass. |

I don't know about that Gina. I think I could handle not being on a first name basis with the ER staff! Jacob is by far my most difficult kid - he has serious sleep problems and when he can't sleep he's a clutz and grumpy. He's also a daredevil that will do anything that looks fun. Some days I wish I could just give him a sleeping pill so I don't have to worry about him!

Jacob's the youngest of 4 boys. I swear he's the worst at getting hurt though! Thankfully my daughter is much more calm and not a daredevil at all. I don't know if I could handle another kid doing everything Jacob does!

those are both tight beam. They provide spot on direct heat. I prefer floods, with a wider beam of light.
