OK, today was my birthday(6th April) and i got this awesome thing called a KRICKET KEEPER and it's like a normal tank with special plastic rods that go in and it breeds crickets.
Ok, it's not the most exciting but it saves a lot of money on crickets!

I don't think it 'breeds crickets' lol. It's useful for keeping crickets in if you don't like touching them. The idea is they climb into the black tubes because the like dark places, then you simply take out the black tubes and shake them into the feeding tank.

They are really useful tho! I used to have a small one until I realised it was just way to small for the crix-but I kept the tubes because its just so much easier to catch multiple crickets at a time with them-rather than trying to get them by hand or shake them off the egg boxes.

I think if you want to breed crickets you have to provide a group of adult crickets with some 'laying trays' and then remove these once they have eggs in them and keep them somewhere warm. Don't know the exact details but it's a bit more complicated than roaches Smiley

Oh and happy birthday!  Grin

Xterri-leighX is right. It holds crickets, not helps to breed them.

But I have the same container. I'm still feeding my beardie small crickets, so they're kinda hard to get a hold of by hand.  At least I think so.  So, I keep them in that container and they  all stay in the black tubes which makes it super easy to gather them up for feeding time. I just sprinkle some calcium supliment in the tube and turn it over a couple times and then shake the tube off in the tank for my beardie.

He recognizes it too. Once he see's that black tube he comes running up to it. Smiley

Happy birthday!

I dunno if it will breed them but it might (MIGHT) work a little.
