A quick question..

I've not yet bought a Bearded Dragon but am planning on fairly soon, I had a quick question about the protein part of their diet, I'm aware that they need to be eating a fair amount of Crickets, however I was curious to know if there was a protein supplement for live food, the reason I am asking is because my family are strict vegetarians and I don't think they'd be too keen on have live worms and crickets being stored in the house, if there is a supplement, what is the best thing to feed? Any recommendations? If there isn't then I'm sure I'll be able to talk my parents round keeping the insects in the house somewhere.
Thanks in advance.
Sam.

Sorry the dragons need live food. Just no two ways about it. Not only for the physical need of protein but also the hunting of the live prey is important to their mental well being.

instead of an iguana for you, another reptile which is much easier is a uromastyx which is closely related to beardies....hopefully you can talk your parents into the whole bug thing tho
