I've never owned a hedgehog, but I have heard that they are harder to care for than most care sheets say. Here is one that was recommended as being "the best (and really ONLY) site for hedgehog information on the web that is accurate and provide info for the betterment of the species and proper care: http://www.hedgehogcentral.com/care.shtml

A friend of mine breeds them...and they are very easy to look after compared to a few other pets.  Please keep in mind that they a "night time" pets so bright lights can hurt their eyes and they wont want to be held during the day.  They can be "snugglely" if you can all it that but it does require some time every day with them.  If it is for the "wow" factor, then I would suggest not going for it.

before i got into dragons, i used to look for a cool pet that has all the things that im looking for without the big draw back. i use to choose between frill lizards, bearded dragons, camelion, hedchog, perarie dogs, chin chilia and sugar glider. after researching on them i end up picking bearded dragons, thank god it all work out for me. they have the colors, friendlyness attitude and very easy to breed and raise.
