It's been forever since I've logged in Sad But I do have a concern about my beardie. He is 2 1/2 years old, he looks to be at a very healthy weight (not too chubby and defiantly not skinny) he usually has a very good appetite and eats all of his greens and protein. That being said, he woke up from his winter nap 5 days ago, the first thing I did was feed him a salad and some crickets, then I gave lots and lots of water because he was super thirsty. For the first 2 days he had a very healthy appetite and he was really active and went poo. On the 3rd day I noticed he didn't want to eat and he was just laying on the bottom of the cage in the corner, letting the crickets just walk on him not having a care in the world. Sad he's never acted like this, and it's the 5th day and he all he did was move location to his branch to sunbath. Still not caring about food. I have him in a warm bath right now, and he usually swims around and really enjoys himself, but he is just sitting there looking pissed.

So, my question is: Is this normal behavior after a hard winters nap? Last winter he would wake up once a week to eat and poo, this winter he didn't want anything to do with food or water. I'm just worried about him. Sad Oh and this week I will be getting a new uv strip for his cage since it's coming up on 6 months. And the temp in his cage is between 100 and 110. Thanks for any help in advance.

Each dragon reacts differently after brumation.. I've even noticed that mine will react differently afterwards as well from the time before.

Just keep your eye on him, record his behaviors.  I will suggest hold back on the crickets for a couple of weeks though.. Just feed him salads.. let his digestive system get used to processing foods again.

Hope this helps out !

Thank you for replying, I will try the salads. I'm also going to get a picture of him up, because he's back to just laying in the corner looking sad.
