So little Mushu is growing at a super rapid pace. Therefore, he is shedding. He acts like he wants out to be handled but he acts skittish when we get him out. Could it just be the shedding process? I bet he is not to comfortable getting into his new skin. Is this a typical action for a dragon? Thanks for any answers.

He is almost done shedding. The skittishness stopped. I guess time gave me my answer.

mine never used to be skittish when handled but im guessing yours is younger the skittish could be just as they get used to you and shedding might be a little uncomfy for him try an extra bath when shedding it always helped mine shed faster and easier and if they still seem skittish when mid shed instead of handling put your hand in tank and let them come to you

Both of ours are good with handling. They hate shedding though. I know I wouldn't want to be touched if my skin slowly flaked off.
