My beardie is around 6 weeks old. It eats like a horse. It can put down around 25-30 crickets daily. Is this normal? I assume it is because he has a bowel movement one or two times a day and is active. He eats some of his greens and his lights are good. Can you over feed a baby dragon? This is my first dragon and I want to do this right.
Thanks for any info.

baby beardies do eat alot more than adults as like you said they are more active and growing quicker than at any point in their lif, what size crickets are you giving him/her? and are you also offering other live food? if so what?

Tiny crickets. They are no bigger than the space between his eyes. That's all he really eats other than the greens.

try giving him more filling live food such as meal worms or wax worms, with the wax worms id only advise give 2-3 times a week as they are very filling but meal worms can be offered 2-3 every day. my beardie had a massive appetite at that age i used to give her 10 small locustes, 3 meals worms a day and 3 wax worms a week along with veg everyday and she still acted as though that wasn't enough!!, as he gets older his appetite will calm down and hell start eating more veg than live food

Kristy, we don't recommend meal worms at any age.  The fat content is quite high, versus the protein amount, doesn't add up for a good part of a staple / semi staple diet.

Roaches, crickets, silk worms are all fine however..
Hope this helps out.

He does eat alot. He really took to his greens. After watching his behavior he seems perfectly normal. Thanks for all the help.
