so about 2 weeks ago i brought in a new bearded dragon for my male , hes about 9 months old and shes about a year and a half. No sign of violence just the usual mating signs (not sure if they mated yet) but recently her appetite increased again but she will not eat her veggies and he wont either. When he was pretty good at eating his veggies. what is the cause of this? also is it bad that i have one big bowl for greens? or should i have two separate bowls? Neither of them show bad signs of dominance so idk.
I need help and suggestions because i want them to eat their greens again:/

thank you
ps: my first post Cheesy

First off get them into 2 separate tanks! NEVER house 2 beardies together, that will be your main problem. Even though they don't show signs of dominance it will still be there, they are stressed and that is the reason they won't eat. Move them to 2 separate tanks and so they can not see each other.

After that they should start eating their greens again and acting normally. When they are back to normal if you want to mate them put them together for an hour or so then separate them again, keep doing this daily until they mate.

I would have thought that 9 months would be to young for breeding.
Also, did you isolate the new dragon for some time before putting
it with your other.....not that they should be together!
You never know what could be wrong ..health wise.
You have said you have had the new one for only a couple of weeks...
so it could be still suffering from relocation stress.
I would separate them as soon as possible...if you haven't already.
Just my 2 cents worth.

any amount of bearded dragons can be kept together (but the vivarium must be about 4ft long and 2ft wide and tall) for two or three adults) so DON'T separate them unless they show signs of injury or illness. If they have gone off their food most female will about 2-3 weeks after mating as they need more room for their eggs (one of mine is pregnant and has gone off her food completely) but if the male has try different food such as sliced carrot and apple. If the problem still persists for the male go to the vet and get them checked.

P.S 9 months doesn't surprise me if you bromated them.

That is absolutely not true. Dragons are solitary creatures and it's almost a guarantee that they will have dominance issues. Dominance problems can be anything from one not eating and failing to thrive to fighting to the death of one or both. It's absolutely not worth the risk. The size of enclosure you've mentioned is a GREAT size for ONE dragon.

dragons do not do well housed together regardless of tank size 4ft by 2ft by 2ft is size for 1 adult dragon
seperate them and see if that helps add bugs to the veggies see if they take the hint
breeding issues i havent tried to breed but i know there are alot on these boards with the best advice for that

listen to perfectly-flawed she gave me some fantastic advice when i first got a beardy
