Hi all! New to beardies and forum.  I just got a 3.5 year old male beardie on Friday night.  I realize that the move has probably stressed him out some but he has only come out from his hiding place for an hour last night.
I have him in:
77 gal tank (two sides covered)
large basking log, fake rock ledge, fake plants.
cool side floor  81, cool side ledge 86, basking log 98
I'm using a repti sun 5.0 (I will be switching to a 10 - will order one tomorrow)

He will not come out to explore or eat.  I have been able to hand feed him several super worms but no greens.
Should I be concerned or just let him be til he feels comfortable?

Thank-you in advance for your replies
Amy

Hi Amy and welcome.

For now, cover the remaining two sides of that tank, and only handle as much as is necessary for cleaning.

This is call relocation stress, and usually lasts around 2 weeks.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll give it a whirl.
So far I haven't had to do any cleaning.  He's barely eaten and has not relieved himself yet.
