I have a juvenile bearded dragon.  Roughly 12 inches in length, and I've been mislead by a lot of information.  I was under the impression that a compact UVB light would be sufficient with a heating pad.  Not so much!  The temperature only reaches into the low 90's and the UVB output from what I  take it is not enough.  I think the answer to my problem is a high quality mercury vapor bulb, but there's none of the best reviewed ones ANYWHERE online!  Megaray is on back order, and on petmountain.com they have a T-rex bulb option on there, but it says it's out of stock.  Anyone know anywhere to find sufficient MVB?  I've come to understand that powersun and fluckers are not very high quality.

PLEASE HELP!  My bearded dragon's health is declining!

I would stay away from MVB's right now. I've switched all of my dragons to ReptiSUN 10 tubes. You can provide the reptisun 10 tube along with a standard household flood bulb for heat. It will save you quite a bit of money and provide enough heat and UVB to keep your dragon healthy.

The only 2 bulbs I use for my Beardie are the zoo med basking light and repti glo 10.0 UVB, they work well and keep my temps right where I need them.
