Hi!  My family acquired a BD about 3 months ago and we couldn't be happier.  Our girl is about around 5 months old.  She never ceases to amaze us with her behavior and characteristics.  I had no idea that a reptile could be so personable.  The Fabulous Miss P (stands for Persephone, Bane of Crickets) is a real fan of eating, both cricks and salad, and is nice and plump, sassy and alert.  We did a lot of research before bringing home a BD and are glad of it- there's so much to learn!  A very social critter too, she loves for my daughter to take her out before bedtime and cuddle for awhile.  She is not a bit shy; when one of our cats insisted on jumping up on the table and wanting to bat at the viv (he has since been broken of that behavior) she remembered, oh yes she did.  My daughter had her out and P caught her off guard, jumped down and ran directly to the cat with every intention of kicking his behind.  (We watch her much more closely now and my daughter has made her a little "jacket" with a leash so she can safely get exercise).  I am so glad to have found this forum in order to learn more about taking as good a care of her as possible!
