I just got my dragon home and I've been watching the temps pretty closely. On the cool side it's fine. But on the basking side it's only 70 -75 degrees. What am I doing wrong? I have a Zilla desert fixture uvb tube light. And I have a 150w spot basking lamp. Tank is 48Lx36wby18d. Thanks for your suggestions.

First of all, what type of thermometer are you using, and where is it placed? A 150w bulb should be getting an enclosure of any size up to temp or beyond.

I am using a digital probe thermometer and the probe is on the back of the tank about the same height as his basking spot

Place the probe directly on the center of the basking spot, right in the hottest spot.
