Hello Everyone - ive been reading some recent forum posts about humidity levels and their norms.  Mine is curently 54% during the day with temperatures at 106 on the warm side and 87 on the cold.  I have a big water bowl in the cage that i have not seen him drink from.  He used to lay in there when i first got him less than 3 weeks ago, but the 3rd day after i got him i started giving him a bath every other day.  My question comes down to should i take out the water bowl to lower the humidity levels, and he will stay hydrated from his baths?  Keep in mind hes not a big veggie eater, and im trying to find something he really likes.  Hell eat a little butternut squash, and a little collard greens, so he is not getting water from the misted veggies.  Whats is everyones take on this?

Well, this is sorta like the substrate issue.. It's a personal choice based on your observations of your dragon's behaviors.

Now I personally do offer a water bowl for around 2 hours a day, and I've seen all 4 of mine adapt to that available water.

In two hours, the humidity levels that would be present aren't really a concern.

So, maybe if you offer a smaller container, that might help, I use those little ceramic tort cups.
Hope this helps.

OK, that sounds like a good idea.  Cause the water bowl im offering right now is super huge.  LOL.  I can see what he'll do with a smaller one around a couple hours a day.

I prefer 3 baths a week instead of water in the enclosure.  This is also because my dragon has had giardia which is water-bourne and I don't want a breeding ground for it if there are still any lingering parasites.

I've never kept water in my dragons' enclosures. I bathe 3 to 4 times weekly. They stay well hydrated and I don't have the extra worry of bacteria in their enclosures.
