Hi!

These two items are not suitable. Reptile carpet becomes dirty quickly and it is also possible to have bacteria (after the use)

Heat rocks are also dangerous because bearded dragons can burn themselves by sitting much time over them.

If you wanted to purchase these items, you are unlucky....

Hope it helps!

That's cool I have a leopard gecko in it at the minute but want something more active. I currently have reptile carpet on the floor off it but that can change I got a 60w red and white lamp and heat mats, iv been told not to use a heatmat and to get a iv light. I want to possibly get this on Tuesday but doing a little research first, any tips welcome and is my viv to short?

In my opinion, the best heat source is the red lamp (you have this item already). For the reptile carpet, if I were you, I would replace it.

Red lamps aren't suitable for dragons.  they do not provide bright white light to stimulate eating and hunting habits.  Reptile carpet is fine, but must be cleaned thoroughtly, or replaced often to avoid the build up of bacteria and odor.  You might wanna try non adhesive shelf liner, tile, or paper towels.

No red lamps, bearded dragons need bright white light for psychological reasons.  We here have lots of experience and have scoured all types of resources including what has worked best for us.  Many of us have had generations of dragons and most keep several dragons at once.  Please, please read our caresheet:CLICK HERE for CARESHEET

There is another popular forum ending in .org (linking to other forums is not allowed), this site and that site both have very similar caresheets and have thousands of members between us, these caresheets are widely agreed upon and do not single out only one way to keep dragons but outline agreed upon safe methods.
