Sometimes I put my two females that are both about a year and half old together wen im cleaning one cage because i have cats.A few weeks ago I caught them doing the deed but I didnt really think anything of it because they are both girls or at least I thought the one was a girl because I look under the tail and it is.Im confused with her.Anyways I came home today and the one who is for sure a girl laid 15 eggs and I have no clue what to do.I did seperate her from them and put her in a box with reptile soil and shes still digging and hasnt laid anymore.Help?

Unless you're able to provide for many, many babies, I recommend freezing the eggs. This is a very humane way to stop their development before they form into babies. Stick them in the freezer for 12 hours, then you can safely toss them in the trash.

i agree, if you aren't ready or financially able, its best to freeze them. Make sure you provide extra good and care for your girl, because apparently one is a boy. Also, fertile or not..keep in mind she could lay more clutches.  and there is no rule you have to keep all the eggs, you could pick the best 2 and try and hatch them, A basic hovabator still air model is around 40-60 bucks online.  perhaps you might freeze theses and be on the look out for supplies and things you will need, so in a few months when she does it again you can be prepared....and then you can keep a few of the eggs, im only keeping five, i had 6 but one egg turned black.

My understanding is that you still believe you have two females and are confused as to why eggs were laid?

Two females can simulate mating habits that in turn trigger hormonal reaction.  The process is already in place, it is the physical stimulant that gets those hormones jumping.  Actual mating would not have taken place with 2 females, but if the receptive female was ready it could still produce very infertile eggs.  If your second female is indeed a male, then the above advice i agree with.

yep yep! good point!

but make sure your providing excellent nutrition and housing for your girl who laid eggs, infertiles are almost worse as fertiles.

Thanks I will freeze them,they started to turn a dark yellow and all the pics ive seen of eggs have been white. Shes getting all the good food shes wants
