Hi
At the moment i am building a set up 24x12x18
i an rather confused about the heating and lighting
my thoughts are having a repisun tube 18in across the back of the tank but where to put the basking bulb
any ideas will be helpful i have no intension of getting a beardie till the tank is up and running properly.

How will the lighting be set ?  Will the long tube sit on a screen, or will it be hanging ? 
You'll want the uvb to be within 6-8" from the basking site. 
Your heat light ( regular house hold light bulb should work out great..) should be close enough so you can maintain basking temperatures (measured with either a digital thermometer or temp gun) of 110-115 for dragons under a year in age, or 105-115 for adults of 12+ months.
