Mid 80's..

But no light is needed for the gecks.. they are nocturnal.. An under tank heater will do the same..

I always thought that leopard geckos were from desert climates with lots of sun.  While they may be a crepuscular (dusk and dawn) species, I still always felt that 6-8 hours of good bright sunlight was good for them psychologically.  I'd hit up some leopard gecko forums and ask around.  See what works for others. 

If you go with an undertank heater and decide to go with some hours of daylight, you may be able to go with an eco compact fluorescent bulb (coil) for household use as it will not add to your heat.
