Hi,i have a 2 year old beardie who seemed fine until the last week or so. seems to be less active, still eating her hoppers but not so much her greens etc but noticed her front left foot/leg has swelling around it and she isnt walking as much as she usually does. Could this be due to calcium deficiency? There hasn't been any sign of shakes etc. Any help would be good thanks.

Hi there Tony !

You've noticed this swelling, and I wonder, if this could be from an injury like falling from a high spot.
Does your dragon climb up to such a place ?  Ir maybe used to climb but doesn't currently ?

You have a couple of options here.  You can seek a qualified vet's diagnosis and care. Or you can lower the uvb and heat source, so your dragon can get what is needed, yet doesn't have to climb to get to it, and let time take it's course.  It's logical to reason that if you hurt, you don't act like you would have before the injury, same goes for your beardie.

I'd like to take a look at that leg, if you could post up a photo.. I'm sure there are others that could offer some advice beyond what I have already.

Hope this helps out!
