Hi I am about to get my first bearded dragon and need some advice please.  After visiting a local reptile specialist I was told under no circumstance to buy and exo terra products.  After reading some online reviews lots of people suggest the Exo Terra Repti Glo 10.0 UVB Tube Light 25W 30in.  Are all their products dangrous as suggested to me? am very confused after my visit.

Many Thanks Lee

I would never use the reptiglo bulbs for my dragons. Instead, the reptiSUN 10 tube is an excellent light. It's the ONLY florescent in the US that I would trust to keep my dragons healthy.
The UVB light is the only product that I use that's specifically designed and packaged for reptiles. Petstore substrates are typically very dangerous (sometimes deadly) and the "basking" bulbs aren't needed - a regular household flood light does exactly the same job for a lot less money.
