Hi, not been on here for a while.

My beardie Cazzy took a poop during his soak yesterday, and it split open to fill the sink with what I'm sure were the egg pods the vet showed me last time he had parasites. Just wondering if any of the panacur I've linked below would be safe for him, if not I'll be going to the vet asap.

Most dragon parasites aren't visible without an extremely powerful microscope. I would take your dragon to the vet for a fecal exam. Self medicating them without being absolutely positive there are parasites and what type they are can be very dangerous.

Ok thanks allot. I'll get a picture next time if I can, I know the actual parasites aren't visible, these are tiny little stretched oval shapes with a kindof yellowy colour. The vet showed me them once floating in a test tube and said to look out for them, and I'm convinced there the same things. Can't remember the name of the parasite he had.
The only reason I was looking at the possibility of self medicating is I'm a soon-to-be uni student with a poor paying part time job Tongue and vets can be expensive, and I know he was perscribed panacur last time. I take the health of all my animals very seriously though so he'll be at the vet next week Smiley

those would be pinworm egg.  if you look closely you can see them.  you might get visual confirmation if you see anything resembling white string like substances also.

Been to the vet today, he was full of them Tongue He's on 0.23 ml of panacur once a day for five days. Other than that she said he looked great.
Thankyou for answering my questions Ladyknite Smiley

Lovely. He just bit off the end of a plastic syringe and swallowed it as far as I know, because I can't find the piece on the floor anywhere so I can't assume it fell out of his mouth. It's basically a few millimetre long plastic tube.

I plan to bath him every day to encourage pooping and keep a really close eye out for unusual behaviour, I'm hoping he'll pass it without too much trouble, if not it's back to the vet.

Is there anything else I can do for him?

well now you have your answer.  good call.
pick up a new syringe at the local medical supply store.  Sometimes the pharmacy carries them, but be sure to ask for long nosed (tipped) syringe.  If you can't find them, hit me up.  I probably have a few hundred or so to spare.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm in the UK and I have a couple spare Smiley. I was just concerned about the piece of plastic inside him. So far he seems fine but I probably wont stop worrying until it comes out the other end Tongue I was a bit more careful this time, he would of been more likely to give my finger a nasty bite than the syringe  Roll Eyes
