Hi, I'm a new BD owner.  I got my 6 mo old beardie two weeks ago so I'm still trying to work it all out.  I started out feeding her crickets, but when i went to buy more the other day they were out till the following day, so they sold me Superworms.  I was told by worker there that I could feed her them as a staple if I preferred them over crickets.  I was also told this by a vendor today at the Reptile Expo in my city.
My question arises because I have seen in a few places online that they can only be fed to them as a supplement rather than a staple.  At this point I don't know what I should do.  The worms are so much more convenient (and less creepy...haha) than crickets, but I want her to be healthy.  Any help is appreciated.

Supers shouldn't be fed to a dragon under 16" because the twists and turns in their intestines can become blocked with the shell of the worms. Once they reach 16", they're not as "kinked" and it's much safer.
If your dragon is over 16" long, tip to tip, then it's safe to feed him supers. I personally choose to use them as part of a varied diet and not the only staple insect. If you choose to use them as a staple, you need to be much more careful than usual about calcium supplements. Supers are very high in phosphorus, and calcium needs to be used regularly to counter it.
