I like that set up, Mach!
Another nice thing about that cork , you can bake it too, when you do a thorough deep cleaning in your enclosures..

Hope this helped.

Thank you, I need to get a new hide cave since my homemade one (made with a cut rubbermaid bin and grout) has cracked and is coming apart.

Yea I love your setup. What kind of titles are you using? Also did you glue them down to the glass?

Those are 12 inch porcelain tiles (ceramic) and they were cut to fit.  They are just set in loose and are removed monthly to go through the dishwasher (with a little dishsoap rather than detergent).

Oh nice. Yea I went to homedepot last night to switch mine and was gonna buy slate tiles but they were all uneven and not flat to put down on the glass. Didn't end up buying them cause I don't know how to get them flat and no one was around homedepot to help me out. Do you think if I buy some it is a good idea to glue them down to the glass rather than just like that? Thanks once again!

No I certainly don't .. I sealed in every last one of my tiles.. I can't pull them up, can't wash all of their surfaces.. This means I don't know what is building below those tiles.. like black mold..

When I build again, I won't seal in any tiles.. Don't want to take the chances of build ups, and stuff..

Hope this helps.

I'd stay away from natural stone tiles such as slate.  Slate it pretty porous and will absorb some liquids (such as those that come out when your dragon poops).  You can use slate but you have to get stone sealant and treat the tiles.  I much prefer normal ceramic tiles (porcelain is just an ultra pure type of ceramic).

So I thought you guys might want an update on my tank. I have added a background of the desert to my tank looks very nice.  Grin But I haven't had any luck with the driftwood  Embarrassed As far as substrate I saw on petsmart a carpet that I'm a put in the mean time i measure the bottom of my tank for the ceramic titles to make a perfect fit. I'll see if I'm able to add a pic of my tank later on.
