I made the mistake of getting some fresh fruit lately and the house has all of these little fruit flies or gnats flying around.
They are more annoying then anything and are particularly annoying to Hot Shot our baby beardie.
They fruit flies seem to be attracted to his UVB bulb in particular, and also like his greens. They are flying around him all the time, and  I do think they bother him, he tries to catch them, but usually ends up banging his head on the glass although he has caught a couple.
Any suggestions for a safe way to get rid of these? Or should not worry about them? I usually spray them with a cat safe bug spray, but do not want to do so now that Hot shot is in the house as I do not want to risk him injesting that.
Thanks

no sprays.  About the only way is that sticky ugly fly paper stuff, or get rid of the fruit.
they won't hurt him otherwise.

One of the plug in bug repellers might do the trick
