My Boy Butters

« on: July 07, 2011, 12:55:00 PM »

My 2 year old dragon wont eat his greens anymore, its been a week since he has touched them.  He gets a variety and everything!  In addition to his greens he gets 10-15 super worms 2 x a week.   And a treat 1-2x a week.  Now all he wants is a treat or his worms.  He doesn't like crickets anymore as well.....I'm going to try giving them to him again tonight.  This has only been going on for the last 3-4weeks.  He is a great weight and doesn't have parasites and all his temps are good.  The only thing that has changed is we have had to aim a fan to go into one of his vents to keep the temperature normal in his house on the cool side.  It was getting WAY too hot because of the weather.  It works perfect, and he loves this fan!  All he does is sit so he can feel it, so he doesn't bask as much.  However he still basks I think enough to digest.  I dont know what to do.......

My Boy Butters

« Reply #1 on: July 08, 2011, 10:08:40 AM »

So my dragon (butters) ate 10 large crickets last night, still no salad though.  Does anyone know if it is okay to not give him feeder insects/worms until he starts eatting his salad???  Its so hard to hold off on giving him the food he likes.  It worries me though to do that because then he wont get his weekly calcium or multi-vit.  Any help would be much appreciated!  I just dont know if he will oventually eat his salad and how long it could take!
