Once again for the third year in a row my special boy Duke decides to brumate at the hottest point of the year.

Anyone else have some special dragons who don't understand to wait for winter?

I don't, however this is not an unknown phenomenon. I would say, and feel, that if there is a clean fecal, no massive weight loss, or other indications of ill health, then this is normal for him...

Technically speaking it is winter in their homeland of Australia.  I'm not sure anyone knows what triggers brumation.  Some feel it's the changing barometric pressure, other think it could be a genetic internal clock.
