Hello all, I am new here, and really appreciate all the great information I have found here so far.
Since getting my beardie last week, I have gone to using newspaper as opposed to carpet, took back the coil UVB bulb, and now have the 10.0 strip light, upped the temp of my baby's basking spot, and purchased a digital temp/humidity detector w/ probe. I truly appreciate the things everyone posts that help me to better provide for my tiny baby beardie.
BUT he refuses to eat outside his tank......any suggestions for getting him to do so would be greatly appreciated. I am tired of picking out crickets!!!!! plus unless I totally upend everything in the tank, some still stay in and I am afraid they are going to hurt my beardie. He is eating reasonably well, but my tank is fairly good size, and he is really little, so  his finding them all is a problem too.

Some dragons just won't eat outside their homes, especially when they're tiny babies. You can try putting the crickets in a dish that they can't get out of, and setting it in the enclosure for the little one. Some dragons will accept that, but not all. Good luck!

Yes that's true, some bearded dragons do not eat outside the tank. But there are some training simple technics to resolve this problem.

Please do not post links to other forums on our boards. Thank you.
