tricks for a successful colony: I'm no pro, but I started with 20 and I'm sure I have over 1,000 now. A big tupperware container with locking lid. I cut the lid with a dremel tool and glued screening to the lid for ventilation. they can't climb. I put a reptile heater on the bottom. They need to be kept warm. I got free egg cartons from Huddle House. I also put a few paper towel rolls in there for easy feeding to my dragon. I feed them ground up dog food and goldfish food. They LOVE goldfish food. I also have a garden so I throw random veggies in there and they tear them up SO fast! Last night I put half a banana in there and it's totally gone this morning. That tells me I have too many in one cage. For a water source I use water crystals. You can buy a pound on line and it will last you a few years. If you give them oranges they will breed like crazy!
