My Dubia colony is exploding. I've already split it into two colonies and my Beardie can't possibly eat them all. If anyone lives near Jacksonville, FL and wants to come get some to start your own colony please let me know. From what I've heard, I can't ship them out of Florida so you will have to come pick them up.
Thanks, Lori

As far as I know its illegal to ship dubias into Florida, so as long as your not shipping to someone else in Florida I think you could ship them to a friend outside of Florida. But this is my interpretation it may be wrong, but if I am I don't see them checking a box thats not coming into Florida.

Sorry guys, I've been down with a stomach bug. :'( I will ask the post office about shipping them out of Florida. If it's ok then I suppose I'll sell them. If you're interested please let me know.

I wouldn't ask the Post office. You might end up with the DNR and enviromental control board at your dinner table.
Blaberus discoidales (Discoids) A.K.A "False Death Heads" and Blaberus Craniifer (Death Head), are the only legal roaches allowed in Florida (other than the Madagascar Hissing Cockroach that requires a permit). All other non native species are actually illegal to own, possess, sell or release into the environment.
With that said, escape proof containers, housed inside a box and provided with a cool pack (summer season) will ship out un noticed and unchecked. But you didn't hear that from me.
