Hi everyone im new to all this and also a new owner

I have had my bearded dragon for only 2 days. The previous owners of him said they wasnt sure of his sex but he is a 2 year old german giant.

He has settled in well and has a lovely temprement, a real great addition to our family.

The only problem is he doesnt seem to be eating anything but meal worms. I was told his favourite foods so we bought them but he isnt eating anything. oh he did eat one rasberry last night.

Im beginning to worry a little now as ive been told he should have a big appetite.

Any advice would be most appreciated. Thankyou in advance.

No worries at this point.  he's still relocating.  Give him a couple weeks to settle in offering salad daily.  you'll check one day, and it should all be gone.  If he continues to do this after a couple of weeks, you may want to have a fecal done to ease your mind.

I suggest also withholding the mealworms. They're not a good food for dragons. They're very low in nutrition, high in fat and phosphorus, and very hard to digest. Instead, offer superworms. They're much larger and much better nutritionally.

I have telephoned 4 shops and noone seems to sell superworms. I was advised to try him with hoppers. I was very suprised at how alert he was and went crazy for them.

Are hoppers good for him nutrition wise and easier to digest?

Many Thankx

crickets ?  Yes crickets are fine.
You can also try to find dubia roaches... those should send him into a serious feeding frenzy...

It was actually grasshoppers that we purchased as we was told they dont jump as much as crickets and are easier to catch. Now he really loves to hunt for his food ill be trying him with crickets  Smiley

We haven't really watched much tv since we had him lol. hes fascinating to watch

He is now eating all his greens and veg and im like a proud mum lol  Grin

So a huge thankyou to all. Its set my mind at rest having advice on here
