OK, So the very first thing you NEED to do is sperate them. You are already seeing signs of dominance with the nipping.

Each dragon will need their own VIv as they really are not social (with each other) creatures.

Now for the under weight and eating:

What type of UVB bulbs are you using and what is the basking temps and cool side temps? Remeber that when you seperate them you will need UVB and Heat lights for both.
are you giving them any Calcium or Multivitiman?

hi there thank you very much for ur response.

As ive just been out n spent a fortune on the brand new set up my finance isnt the best just now.  Sad

the uvb im using is a "high-uv-b-reptile bulb" in fluorescent fixture.

the basking temp is 90F and the cool side temp is 60/70F.

im trying 2 feed them small crickets n mealworms. what can i give them as a source of cal n multivit?

thanks again.

What brand UVB are using?

You should try and bump the basking temp a little higher (somewhere between 105 and 120) and the cool side during the day should be around 85. During the night it is OK for the tank to drop to 60. Mealies are not the best for bearded dragons as there shell is very hard for them to digest, you should really stick with the crickets and maybe some silk worms.

Take a look here for some help with the foods you use:

http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/Nutrition.html

All dragons (even more important with babies) need to have their protein (bugs) dusted with calcium at least 5 times a week and multivitamins at least 2 times a week. You will need to pick these up from a supplier or your pet store. Without the proper lighting and calcium your dragons runt he risk of developing MBD (metabolic Bone disease) which over time can become irreversible or lead to death.

Do you have the housed seperatly? If they are only 4 months old and not that big you may be able to just a piece of card baord in the tank to seperate them until you can get another VIV setup to properly house them. Just make sure they cannot see each other.

hiya im unsure of the brand but i got it from a reptile place near where i live. (ill find out next time im there as ive binned the package it came in)

the heat source is a 100w ceramic heater and has no way of bumping up the heat.  Undecided

i have put a barrier in middle of tank now untill i can get another set up.

i shall invest in cal n multivit 2 dust the bugs.

im just worried as they arnt eating anything.

im just worried as they arnt eating anything.

Well Beardies go through something called relocation stress. This "stress" causes them to stop eating until they are comfortable with their surroundings. Now that they are separate, try to limit handling them and continue to to try and feed them. Also try and stop changing things in their VIV. Even adding a rock or branch can give some beardies relocation stress.

Just be patient and calm and they will come around if the environment is correct.

Remember, unless this is a huge cage the divider is only temporary.

Hope this helps

I have a question dear... are they pooping ? If so, they are eating.

As for your other concerns:
Try separating, I know you are struggling to do so, so you can use say a plastic bin, set to the side of the 4', and share both lights.  This will do for the mean time.

Second thought is that they are new to you and this environment... It can take some time for adjustment.
Limit handling to bathing and cleaning.  Let them get used to this whole new world and you. Give them a couple of weeks, after separation.
Good luck, and hope this helps out.
