Hey guys do any of you have a link where I can buy a 40gal breeder tank? I can't seem to find one anywhere.

It is going to be my first set up, and for some reason I really like the idea of how people put hammock's in for their beardies, I am already going to be having a basking spot for the beardie, I am going to make one just like the one on www.beautifuldragons.com, do I put the hammock on the cooler side of the tank, middle? 40 gal breeder,

Last question is, as far as the basking spot itself, since I am going to try to get a 40 gall breeder, how tall should I make the basking spot for it?

thanks!

Ordering a glass enclosure is expensive.  Your best option is to find one using Craigslist or locate one in your local pet store.  If there is a reptile show coming near you, you might want to check out the vendors there.  You can also look into www.glasscages.com

If you're able, you might enjoy builidng your own.  Most people follow Russ's design from Crossfire Dragons.  http://www.freewebs.com/crossfireenclosures/

Your basking height is dependent upon the bulb you use and it's reflective heat, along with direction and location.

Hammocks are usually used in the corners of enclosures.

okay thanks! As far as the bulbs i've heard the reptiSun 10.0 is good and than what kind of bulb do I use for the basking bulb? The problem is there is only one pet store in the town I am at now, and there selection is VERY limited and I don't get to head back to chicago often, but thanks for the info!

I tend to use in cooler months a house hold flood light.  You'll want a high heat rated ceramic base deep dome for that.  In warmer months I tend to use a regular house hold bulb... What watts that will work for you I don't know.  You'll have to try different watts for the right temperatures.
Hope this helps.

hey quick question, are the analog humidity guages inaccurate also? Reason I ask is because I don't like the idea of just having the probe from a digital one laying inside the tank, so I was wondering if i could just get a temp gun and use that, then for humidity use an analog guage

analog gauges are generally not accurate.  Humidity can be off by as much as 15%.

You can get good humidity guages from poultry supply stores.
