I use that for my roach/cricket bin. It's fine. No warping or melting. Use the little rubber things on the bottom of the bin to keep a little ventilation going to the bottom of the bin and you will be fine.

Don't fix what isn't broke. If you have hesitations, use an UTH for a 10 gallon tank.
Hope this helps.

its more like a DIY thing, haha but ANYWAYS back to the under tank heater crack. i open it, yes i regret opening it cause this heater suck. so i gave it a test run by letting it site and see if it will warm up, heater later no heat, i then stick it on the side on the bin, hr later still no heat, i stick it on the bottom so hopefully ill get some heat. If this thing doesnt work ill have to email zoo med and cuss them out a bit.
regret buying it and opening it i should of just went with flexwatt tape.

There's no reason to cuss out Zoo Med for the issue. Unfortunately things like that happen and faulty products get through. I'm sure that most stores and even Zoo Med would reimburse you. I personally love the product and have had success with all of the ones I've purchased.

It should be warm to the touch and reading between 90 and up. Sometimes it doesn't work well if the adhesive isn't as sticky.

my is brand new but still doesn't work ill have to email or call petmountain. last time i order a repti sun UVB 10.0 tube from them and what i notice was the label of on the tube was kinda fade. i dont know if the bulb was a brand new or just a OLD never been use NEW bulb or what. but all i know is the print label on it was fading off you can hardly see it. i end up using the bulb anyways. like any other bulb the tube should have the company label name on it.
thing happen so i dont blame them.
