In the early to mid nineties my father and I used to buy, sell, trade, a lot of reptiles with this guy. He had a store in Matamoras, Pa. We used to go there every week to pick up our bulk crickets. We sold many beardie babies to him. It was my favorite reptile store and I really liked him.
I was thinking about him recently because I remember he had sold a couple monitor babies that he claimed were water/croc crosses. Knowing what I know now, it seems like a highly unlikely cross. I would bet he was just selling a different locale of WC waters as the CBB cross for a hefty price. I tried to find him to question him and I found this article.
