My 15 year old wants a tortoise something terrible. We're hoping to move soon, and will hopefully have the space for him to finally get one. Your boy is wonderful! Seeing him makes me even more hopeful to get one for my son.

Crystal - I cannot stress enough what fantastic pets they are!

You would imagine a tortoise to be slow and methodical (well, at least I did before getting Ernie) think again !! He is more active than all the pets put together and food, my god he can eat for England!

If you need a heads up on any advice, or their care do drop me a line, I am very knowledgeable on them.

Easy to keep, fascinating little creatures and live a very long time.  Horsfields can live 60 years +.

Correct diet is paramount and like beardies, as is husbandry.
