I adopted these two guys from a friend of mine this morning. These are the first birds I have ever owned. This is Zoe and Casey, the budgies Smiley

Zoe is the white/blue bird (I was told by a breeder on a budgie forum she is recessive pied), and Casey is the other (male). I'm letting them settle in before I start hand training them.

Lovely... I had budgies when I was young... Loved my "Roger".  Now, just to let you know, it is much harder to hand train budgies when they are housed in the same cage.  They aren't interested in anything else but each other... More so if this is a true male/female pair.

Might want to wear a thin pair of gloves in the beginning...

Lovely pair.. Congrates !

Thanks Janie Smiley. These two were hand reared so they don't mind my hand being in the cage, but they won't perch. My friend said they just need to get used to me, that they sat on her shoulder. I'm hoping this will make it a little easier for me once they get used to me. I read that they can be trained to talk, but it's easier if you only have one, and males are more of the talkers than females! Opposite from humans, lol. Grin

What pretty feathered babies! I had doves a few years back and loved them. I've thought about getting birds again but with my zoo, they'd probably just end up staying in the cage. That wouldn't be fair so I've held off.

Thanks Crystal  Grin. I was a little leery at first because I've never had birds before, but these guys are fascinating to watch. They are natural clowns Cheesy
