Ok...so I'm getting a friend of mine's marbled crays (she no longer wants them), and I have my one marbled cray...and these buggers are going to produce babies like CRAZY. What is it...100-400 babies (depending on cray's size) every 3 months or so?

Here's my question:
Since this things produce like crazy, therefore not much fun in an aquarium unless you have something that eats babies...and a lot of them, I'm thinking about taking the babies, at various sizes, euthanizing them, freezing them, and then selling them as fish food (or reptile food, turtles love 'em and so do large monitors like tegus) and bait. My question is, would you buy them, as a fish keeper (or someone who keeps reptiles or likes to go fishing)? Trying to see if this would be worth it in the long run.

Note: I would also look into shipping them to broaden 'client-el'. Also, these would NEVER be sold live so as to eliminate the risk of them being tossed into the wild where they would disrupt the natural ecosystem.

Also, I'm sure you can get money for them as fishing bait at an appropriate size!

I got the crays today. She ended up giving me the three adults along with any babies she had. The adults are all 'berried up' right now, two of which look like they'll be hatching in a week or so.
Doesn't look like shipping will be too difficult, but we need to check with your state about having these shipped there. Some won't allow it.
