Hi,

I just separated my adult dubia's from my nymphs.  I thought dubia's were slow.  Not!  They were going nuts when I tried picking them up for the transfer.   I would hate to see what a fast one looks like.  Shocked

I wanted to make a separate enclosure for adults so I wouldn't bother the females into expelling their eggs.  I'm going to leave the adults alone for a week at a time, just checking on their food and water supplies.

At some point I wanted to try just a couple of nymphs for my dragons.  I wanted to see if they would try them over crickets and silkworms.  I am paranoid after seeing how fast they are, if one got loose.  Are you sure if I do get a escapee, that they won't infest my house. Undecided

I've never had Dubia roaches but I have a thriving lobster colony for over 4 yrs now and at one time had a very small Discoid colony. I have had I am sure 1000s of escaped roaches over the years and once had my bin knocked over with no lid on it, who knows how many escaped then. I also live in So Cal where the weather is pretty close to good for them yet for some reason my house has never been infested. We always find the escapees dead or dying and usually in the bathroom, I assume they are looking for water.
