My son has been absolutely miserable without Spaz being here, and he talked me into letting him adopt this sweet little girl last night. A friend of his had found her and taken her home half starved and weak, and nursed her back to health, but his little sister is very allergic to cats so she couldn't be inside at all, and they live on a busy road so outside is not safe at all for her. Jacob has been around their house since she was found and he loves her, so he brought her home and talked me into letting him keep her. It's too soon for me, after losing my Spaz, but I could never turn away an animal that's in desperate need of a good home, so she's staying here with us. She still needs some help though. Poor girl has some problems, which you'll see in the pictures.
Here she is. I think she's only about 5 or 6 months old, if even that. She's so small but so sweet.

She has 6 toes on each front foot, but the poor girl has claws growing between her toes

It seems painful for her, so one of the first things we'll do is have them removed.
Her right front foot. This one doesn't seem to bother her too much, but she doesn't like it to be touched.

Her left front foot. The claw is only partially grown in, and it seems to bother her quite a bit.

Of course she'll need to be spayed, get all her shots, and be microchipped soon but I want to let her settle in a little and deal with her toes first. I'm hoping they won't need to completely remove the extra toes and just take the claws but we'll do whatever's best for her. I've told my son that since he wanted her knowing she's going to need vet care, he's going to have to earn the money to take care of her. I just simply can't afford it right now, and he's old enough to take on the responsibility. He's taking it serious too. He's already arranged to help another military family pack their things for a move next week. He'll earn $30 for that, and it'll all go towards helping Eris.
