Yep those bulbs are fine to use for heat (not UVB) unless they are the energy saver ones. The energy saver ones don't give out heat.

Oooh ok, and are there any alternatives for uvb that you can get at places like walmart or whatever that you know of? Just curious =]

I think they mean the white household bulbs from walmart. You'll still need to spend 30-40 bucks on a reptisun 10.0 tube bulb for UVB.
