He can't find the basking spot?????

So I switched my light to Mega-Ray 100 Watt UVB Mercury Vapor Bulb and rearranged my bd's tank to raise the basking spot but he can seem to find it on his own? this morning he was trying to bask where the old spot would have been. Will he figure it out on his own or do I need to rearranged to the basking spots is in the old spot?
