ok. zoey has decided to be a bit of a handful again. i need some suggestions here. ever since she had parasites she hasn't really touched her greens. ok. so i've been gut loading her crix with greens and been almost dying trying to get greens in her, still a no go. at least her appitite was good for crix. nowwwwww that has changed. 2 days ago i got 5 doz crix, i still have about that many minus maybe 1 doz. soooo she's not eatin her crix anymore either. BUT she pooped today, yesterday, and the day before. which is very strange. since she decided to turn her nose up at her veggies she's been pooing about once a week. she actually seems ALOT more active in the last few days. not frantic active, but happy active. the ONLY thing different is,,,,, roaches. we went through the bins this past saturday and decided to feed her some. she ate about 3 big ones and 4 smaller ones. which we had to end it there because im trying to get the colony going good. im sure she probably would have eaten a ton more tho. i haven't fed her anymore roaches since then, and she hasn't eaten any crix since then. do you guys think that she's on strike looking for roaches only? and if so, how long should i allow her hunger strike to go on for before i break down and start mutilating the colony?

amber im pretty sure thats the case, mine did this, i thought id try locust for a change and since that day, even now they wont touch crickets, i bought some last week to see as crickets r cheaper. but no, my babys only want the expensive stuff lol. i put a cricket in with dave and he gave my a very dirty look, i think if he could he would of punched me for it lol

Hey Ber Yeah lots of reptiles get tired of certain food. It could be because they prefer something else or it could just come out of nowhere and just happen. Reptiles are difficult that way haha they can be happy with their diet for ages and then one day out of nowhere hate it  |

oh boy. she almost seems like she's scared of them now. she starts digging at the viv like she wants to get the heck away from them. i've tried putting her in a seperate bin to feed and that was a no go, she was just stone stiff lol poor thing wouldn't move an inch.
*sigh* i guess im just gonna have to cave and order some more roaches then. lil stinker!

Why not buy a whole bunch? That way you can get as many adults as possible breeding to get your colony growing faster than normal at least that way you won't have to stress about the colony going to peices  |

yes veronica she has gotten pretty dang picky!
brent, because funds are just not there lol. we live comfortably, but i haven't been working very much lately lol. whoops!! i suppose that'll be a thought in 2 weeks maybe, i actually will have a full check!! lol
