...than to break routine.  I usually feed Xena before Kinky since she's a little more food crazy than he is.

Ever since Kinky woke up from brumation he seems to have decided that if his food wasn't big he didn't want it.  I'd rather not feed any crickets in his enclosure since I still have newspaper down and that seems to allow more hiding space which makes it hard to get all the leftovers out.  Kinky also likes to get his own food and not be hand fed, unless it's a big fat juicy hornworm and then he'll forget and grab it (at least the first two).  So I've been compromising and put the crickets in a bowl in his enclosure and hoping I'll be able to find the ones that manage to get out.  The sooner he sees the crickets, the less of a chance that they'll escape.

The other day when I was about to feed Kinky and Xena I noticed that Kinky was in a position to see directly into where I put the bowl so I decide to feed him first to take advantage of the situation.  He managed to grab one before Xena started getting all excited letting me know that she wanted the num-nums.  Xena getting all excited about food got Kinky excited period and thoughts of food were no longer in his brain.

The result was that Kinky only had one cricket for his meal and Xena was a little miffed at me (at least until I managed to give the food to her).  Gemini's a little further away from them and didn't seem the least affected by the ruckus lol.
