The laybox I've set up for my girl is outside of her enclosure.  It works for us.

I never provide a lay box inside the enclosure. I've found that my girls actually relax more in a separate area completely away from household distractions. I use a large sterilite bin in our second bathroom.

wow - lots of different ways to handle this I guess.  How about just mounding up a large pile of soil in the corner of her tank? That's what my son did next.

I wouldn't. She might use it, but it's also going to make a mess and hold bacteria in her enclosure - which leads to an unhealthy living environment. I'd keep it contained.

ok - back to the laybox then. i was wondering how to keep her from pooping in it anyhow.
btw, should i be able to feel more eggs in her abdomen? because i don't.
