Hello, I have a new batch of silworms that will be ready to ship soon.

They will be small 1/4-1/2" size does vary depending on time of hatch. Don't know why mulberryfarms are out of worms.. they only have 25 mediums available. So, I match coastalsilkworms price. These will be a mix of whites and zebras.

100 smalls for $11
200 smalls for $18

What's the difference? Mine are raised with loving care with fresh mulberry leaves, therefore, making them more disease resistant. If you have raised silkworms yourself, you know how they are so susceptible to mold and baterial death, that is only because of the wet chow. Such is not the case with my silks, because they are raised on organically grown mulberry trees in my backyard.  Enough leaves will be packed for the transit. They will do alright without food for a week but you should feed them at least once a day with leaves. Touching them is not an issue, as I often play with them on my bare hands. I used to raise them as pets as a little girl back in Asia and had raised thousands of them successfully. Raising silkworms were a required science project for all students.

Additional ziploc bag of mulberry leaves included for $1, in case you do not have them handy when they arrive. This will also help you identify trees around you and help you start your own colony.

Moreover, I ship USPS and their prices are much much lower than FedEx shipping. Signature required and live guarantee, same as coastal.

Please send me an email: ladysilkworm@gmail.com

Thank you and enjoy them as much as I did, in a different way Tongue

The only times that the silkworms are in danger is when someone feeds them leaves with water on it, OR, when they are attacked by ants! The ants are vicious and can wipe out an entire brood in one day. As a second grader I came home one day and found one of my silks all bit up and being carried away by an army of ants!

Or, as a friend told me, her silkies would disappear one by one at night, only to be eaten by geckos that run rampant even in city highrisers.

The silkmoths don't eat nor drink. They just mate and lay eggs. And the cycle begins again.

and now silk cocoons are used as a natural facial scrub in Japan. Aren't silkworms wonderful? They give us so much!

Are you able to do bulk orders of say 2000 or so? What would be the charge for that many with shipping? With my dragons a couple hundred wouldn't last one feeding.

yes, in about a week they die.. the silkworms do us so much good.. they gives us food and clothes. FYI, just to clarify, the Chinese and the Japanese don't have a culture of eating the pupaes. However, the Koreans do eat fried pupaes as common delicacy.

The silk farms in China feeds the pupae to farm animals.

I live in NYC/LI

I can ship them to the border. Just give me address and I guess you will have to pick it up. Don't know if that is a real solution..

I ran out of regular whites, but have Tiger Silks available.
