Matilda the bearded dragon

« on: May 25, 2010, 05:28:42 AM »

A big fat moth got in my car yesterday. I know I'm not supposed to do it but I caught it and fed it to Matilda. She devoured it and stood licking her chops.

I hope that's not something you'll come to regret. Many wild insects can be poisonous to a dragon. It also may have found it's way into chemicals that could be harmful, or even had parasites that she'll have now. It's really a bad idea to feed wild insects to your dragon.

Our girl ate a very small house spider yesterday  Sad she got to it just before I could prize her away... I'm worried slightly.  I never would have let her eaten it otherwise.  I know it's bad practice, and besides which, why take the risk when there are so many other suitably nutritious feeders  Huh !!
