roaches

i may have a problem.  i ordered 200 dubia roaches, egg crates, and water crystals.  the shipment hasn't come in yet, but it looks like it's due today.  well one of them.  it looks like he shipped two packages.  im assuming one is going to be the roaches and the other the crystals and crates.  im now afraid the roaches are comin in before the other.  all i have here is the bin they're going in, the heater, and the food.  can they go a day without the crates and the water?  does anyone have any advice as to what i should do?  should i just leave them in the packaging they're coming in until the next package comes tomorrow?

Chances are that the packaging comes with some crates. You should be fine.

lol expect a semi difficult time getting the roaches into the bin without them falling out....you could always shake the box into a garbage bag and then dump the bag into the bin to minimize the difficulty though

Lol, ya I made the transfer in the bathtub, at least its not as bad as a 1000 box of crickets:P

uh ya.  i opened the box and i think im going to wait for the boyfriend to wake up lol.   i've never dealt with these things and if i dump em all over the place i think they're just gonna end up where ever they fall lol

hard work?! .  i did all the rest!!! all he has to do is empty it, seperate them, and deal with the thinning of the breeder. oh and getting them out so i can clean the bins every once in a great while.  you know, when i type it out that almost seems like he's doing all of it.  ummm, i did a lot too!! lol  well,,,,,, i do all the rest for zoey!!!  he should at least do the food part!!  lol open mouth insert foot    im just gonna be quiet now lol

You know.. I just have to snicker when I read things like that.. I order the roaches. I set up the bins.. I clean them *4 times a year, hint hint hint*, I pay for the roaches, I feed the roaches, I feed the roaches to the reptiles.. I have two menfolk in the house.. you'll notice all the I's and not one them ?

lol sorry, my girlfriend just refuses to have anything to do with the roaches. I got her to put some water gel in once and she refuses to go near them again.
