i was just wondering if it's ok to use minwax water-based polycrylic protective finish for sealent?  it doesn't say anywhere on it that it's toxic, it cleans up with soap and water, but it does say it has harmful vapors? now are these vapors only harmful when applying? or would it be in her viv as well?

 I used that on all 4 enclosures... Allow the urethane to "cure" 48 hours, or until you don't smell that ammonia smell, and go from there.

are there any non-water-based sealers that would be ok to use? The sealent I used always rubs off when I clean fecal deposits off. The moisture must soften it too much

Poly Urethane, oil based... longer outside "cure" time.

aww man.  i have a gallon of the oil based just sitting around the place from when i did my floors last.  i coulda just used that

.  i got zoeys castle like thing done, put it in her viv, and realized she needs a new one (viv that is)!! the thing takes up almost half of the place.  now theres even more reason to start building quickly!! lol

laugh away all you want alex, thats one of the things im good at (making people laugh) especially with my all too often moments of air headedness.  such as building a cave thing for her that doesn't even fit in her viv lol.    one of these days....
