so, my boy Sid hasnt been acting himself all winter. me and my mom took him to the vet, they did a fecal and blood work. bloodwork was fine, fecal came back with traces of worms. we treated him, firguring that was his problem. since we started the treatment, he hasnt really been eating at all. the treatment for the worms ended last sunday, and he may hay eaten a few crix (they disapeared from his cage) a few day ago. Im really getting worried, its been about 2-2.5 weeks since he had much of anythign to eat, and longer since he really went after his food.
a little background on Sid- I got him from a "hobbyist" (I use that term loosly) who kept him on calci-sand. I did extensive research here before I got him (had an acount, but it got deleated, I guess, avoutn was under same name). he was 9", and I guestimated his age at around 2-4 months. that night, he was switched to paper towel. that was november 07, now he is 20-23" long, very brightly colored, and seems happy.
he lives on ceramic tile, had an MVB lamp and a normal incandesant bulb for heat, as well as a ceramic heat emitter, and a log for basking under the bulbs. MVB is 10-12" away from him at all times. tank is a 40br in the center of the house. he dosent get much out time b/c I dont have as much time for him as I would like between life, my other pets, school work, ect.
he is fed squash, crix, leaf greens (mostly mustard greens) and I give him baths weekly (am trying to give him baths more often)
what could be wrong with my boy? Im really worried, I dont want to lose him!
