Yes Janie, he did say "Looks like".  Or he'd say she's a ................. in his opinion.  Didnt say for definate like 100% she's this or that.  Just passing on what we now think.

I'm worrying over her head bopping/black beard.  Should I worry or is it as I think attention seeking etc.  It seems nowthat  she knows how the more she does.  Only started about 4wks ago wen she kept trying to mate her sister. I'm so confused??

I've just read something interesting from Mel on a different topic on here (NEW) about reflections

"spent all day headbutting the glass because she didn't like her reflection" is this maybe a clue to why she's headbutting/ bopping/going black beard etc as we have a glass front and plain back which probably reflects stuff??

Regardless of sex, some dragons are just naturally dominant.  They will bob, or wave as they are "wired".
Perhaps that is what you are seeing..

i've been told by so many people and experts, a vet, forums (From photo of her parts) she is defiantly female.

I was adament my baby was a male. I wanted a male to experience the entertaining head bobbing lol. Plus i wanted a biiiiig baby. But George didn't grow massive, and her beard never went dark, and then i started to think "Hmmmm maybe not male" and once I had it in my head she might not be male I noticed that she wasn't.

If your beardie is a little bit on the dominant side I would maybe think (in my opinion) that it's thinking there is another beardie staring it in the face and it does not like this and is even maybe threatened sooo why don't you test something in the way (I started with plants) and see if he/she calms down?

Oo but when i put plants there it wasn't permanent enough. Georgie used to just headbutt it out of the way so she could see the mysterious beardie the other side of the glass staring at her and copying her every move lol. But see how it goes. Just a little suggestion

ok will try that Mel, thanks.  Yesterday was a good day as only head bopped, no beard twice.  I think it is something to do with reflections as tried to keep room kinda dull.  I'd also say that the way she reacts and her size - so unlike Cassie - she is male but experts, forums, vet ALL said female.  She is approx 3 or 4 weeks older than the other one but from what we think her body looks male but her parts defiantly dont.  Anyway will try the plant  thing.  Again thanks Mel, will let ya know how we get on.
