I HAVE 2 FEMALES AGED APPROX 7 MONTHS. BEEN together since 8 wks old.  Keep getting them checked by various reptile experts who all confirm their females.  But in the last few weeks one has started head bopping, black bearding and grabbing the other round the head as if gonna mate.  Been told its a domineering female.  Do you think this is the case and do i let them carry on.  No fights or cuts.  Both feeding, eating, poo ing etc normally. Both active normally.  Do you think they may need to be seperated as been told they'd be ok 2 girls. Huh?

You may want to wait for an "expert" to answer.... but from what I've read on the forum you will want to seperate the two.

Hi there and welcome to the forum... I feel it would be in both animals best interest to separate them now.  Once the domination starts, then it is only a matter of time before the submissive animal suffers. Be that from being kept from the best basking site, feeding amount, uvb exposure or even physical damage.
Hope this helps you out !

Cheers and happy to help out.... As for the uvb, which one are you currently using ?  Reptiglo is all over the world, and isn't quite what dragons require... Might I suggest an Arcadia 12% tube ?

Yes i use an Arcadia 12% uvb 30".  It seems odd that the one waving isnt suffering as she still eats more than the other, still basks in the best spot. There both still lively and you wouldnt notice that owt was wrong.  Been told on another forum 2 girls together should be ok and so does the reptile expert i know.  Been told to turn the heat down slightly so instead of 100F around 90F.  To see if that works and so far it looks like it is.  Seems like a switch their both being as good as gold.  Was told if it doesnt improve after 1 or 2 days to defiantly seperate.  As cant get to the shop till thur (so 1 or 2 days would of passed whilst trying) I'm seeing if it works.  So far so good.

I'm assuming 90* is the air temp. What's the basking surface temp? That is much more important to their well being than air temp.
I would still plan to separate asap. Housing together almost never works and isn't in the best interest of the dragons. It only takes a split second for one to lose a tail, foot, or life.
